History Book

"A Little Bit of History." The Village offers a book that is both an interesting and informative 60 page book written by Kildeer Historian Clay Brown. The book traces origins of this area from 1835 to date. There are many intriguing stories, including a railroad that once ran through town, a cemetery still located in Farmington, gangsters and bootleggers, simple farmers, and courageous residents intent on keeping a rural atmosphere. There are references and pictures of several homes existing in the Village for over 100 years.

The book highlights many individuals instrumental in making our community what it is today, and notes each subdivision’s formation and development.
