| WHEREAS, the President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Kildeer conducts
all meetings in conformance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees
respect the public's desire to record various
meetings; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustee
conducts meetings under Robert's Rules of Order; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees
must provide an atmosphere in which to conduct
official business in an professional, business-like manner,
NOW THEREFORE, it shall be the policy of the
Village of Kildeer to facilitate the public's ability
to video and/or audio record meetings in the following manner.
1. Any video/audio recording shall be done
from the audience seating area.
2. Said recording shall allow for the
professional conduct of meetings so as not to be
disruptive, to wit:
a. Audience and official seating areas shall
be configured for the conduct of the meeting.
b. Microphones, lighting, or other equipment,
and equipment operators shall remain within the audience seating area.
c. The Village will not supply equipment
and/or accessories for unofficial video/audio recording.
d. Meetings will proceed according to the
Rules of Order, and will not be recessed or delayed to accommodate recording
needs.
