1. Building Permit Application (contact the Village Office (847-438-6000) for applications)
2. $70.00 deposit required at time of Application submittal (permit fees are based on size and specifications of construction) balance due will be required when permit is picked up.
3. (1 set) Site Plan with proposed construction (shown to scale).
4. (2 sets) Plans including - elevation, construction detail, materials used.
5. Lake County Health Department approval/permit (for homes with septic systems).

Upon receipt of application and all related materials, the Village Office will schedule a review before the Architecture Committee. The Architecture Committee agenda closes one week prior to their meeting; meetings are held on alternating Thursday evenings. Applicant will be informed of date and time of meeting.

Following recommendation of the Architecture Committee, the Village Office will forward the materials to the Building Commissioner for review and approval.

The Building Commissioner may require additional review by the Village Engineer or other expert consultants. The applicant will be responsible for the payment of said consultant's review fees.

The Village Office will inform the applicant when the approved Building Permit is ready for issuance.
